Maker time is a fortnightly session that provides open access to new and experienced makers. The session caters to all levels of experience, especially for those with a passion for design, creation, and experimentation. Participants will gain hands-on experience with our diverse range of makerspace equipment, including 3D printers, electronic kits, laser cutter, simple robotics kits and hand tools. We welcome and encourage attendees to bring their own project ideas that they would like to work on or develop. There will be a focus on collaborative problem-solving and research through peer-to-peer learning. This is not a traditional ‘class’ or ‘workshop’ – guidance will be provided to use our equipment but projects will be primarily self-directed. Don’t know what to make? Don’t worry! This is a great opportunity to gain practical skills in an informal, supportive learning environment with support from experienced makers.
