On the first Tuesday of every month, the UT Austin Physics department presents "[Physics on the Rocks](http://%5Bhttps//weinberg.utexas.edu/outreach#:~:text=Physics%20on%20the%20Rocks%20is%5D(https://weinberg.utexas.edu/outreach#:~:text=Physics%20on%20the%20Rocks%20is),7%20p.m.%20at%20Darwin's%20Pub.)" hosted by [Darwin's Pub and Piano Bar](https://darwinspianobar.com/). This is a fun, informal event where physics faculty and students give a series of short talks on a variety of topics (ranging from the physics of beer bubbles to debates about the multiverse and everything in-between) meant to be accessible to a general audience. There's a lot of time to chat in between the talks and to ask questions of the speakers. Come have a drink and learn and discuss physics with us!
Stay afterwards for live music! It's a great venue and the owner is a fellow science enthusiast!
