Make new friends | Fast Friends (21-40/Happy Hour)
About the event
Making new friends in Sydney doesn't have to be awkward.
Whether you're new to the city or simply looking to expand your social circle, Fast Friends makes meeting people easy, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable.
Meet 15–25 like-minded people through fun, guided conversations—then stay afterwards for drinks with the people you connected with most.
🎟 Tickets Book online and save: [https://syd29thaug.eventbrite.co.uk](https://syd29thaug.eventbrite.co.uk)
🎫 Early Bird – A$5 🎫 Regular – A$10 🎫 On the Door – A$15 (cash, payable to your host, Shelly) Booking in advance helps us reserve the right amount of space and create the best possible experience for everyone.
We've reserved a quieter space at Shark Hotel exclusively for our group, making it easier to enjoy meaningful conversations away from the busy bar. Most guests come on their own, so you'll feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
🕖 Evening Flow 7:00 PM – Welcome & Drinks Meet your host, Shelly, grab a drink and settle in. If you're attending alone, don't worry—most people do! We'll make introductions and help everyone feel comfortable. 7:30 PM – Fast Friends Meet a variety of new people through a series of short, guided conversations designed to help you go beyond small talk and make genuine connections. From 8:30 PM – Drinks & Mingling The guided conversations finish, but the evening doesn't. Stay afterwards to continue chatting with your favourite new connections.
❤️ Why You'll Love It ✔ Meet 15–25 new people in one evening. ✔ Friendly hosts who make introductions and ensure everyone feels welcome. ✔ Most guests attend solo. ✔ Reserved quieter space that's perfect for conversation. ✔ Relaxed pub atmosphere with great food and drinks. ✔ Friendship-focused—not a dating event.
👋 Who Is This For? ✅ Ladies & Gents aged 21–40 ✅ New to Sydney or long-time locals. ✅ Solo attendees are especially welcome. ✅ Anyone looking to build genuine friendships and expand their social circle. Members from our other Sydney Meetup groups also join our events, so attendance is often higher than the RSVP count shown on this page.
🌟 Why We Use Tickets Your ticket helps us reserve dedicated space, support our local hosts, and create a welcoming, well-organised event where everyone has the opportunity to connect.
