About the event
A new home. A fresh start. A family convinced it has found paradise at the edge of the world. When devout couple Mihai (Sebastian Stan) and Lisbet (Renate Reinsve) move their five children from Romania to a remote village on Norway's western coast, the neighbors greet them with open arms. But their strict, faith-first way of life soon raises eyebrows, and when a bruise is spotted on their teenage daughter at school, a picture-perfect community starts asking questions that no one is ready to answer.Winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) returns with a gripping, morally knotted drama that refuses to take the easy way out. Who gets to decide what is best for a child? And what happens when a whole town thinks it already knows?
