About the event

“Overpowering and otherworldly … TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. is so of its time that you can only be captivated by it.” —The Village Voice William Friedkin’s neon-noir is renowned for its over-the-top car chase, but the whole film is breathlessly tense. The colorful hyper-’80s aesthetic is aided immeasurably by the camerawork of Wim Wenders’ collaborator Robby Müller. William Petersen stars as the Secret Service agent hero, and Willem Dafoe reaches new heights as the psychotic villain.
