Is this your event?About the event
This group hike is open and welcoming to newcomers.
About the hike: St. Edward’s Greenbelt in north Austin has some rocky trails, hills, and creek crossings. We’ll hike about 3 miles, combining the different trails there so bring good shoes and water!
All Trails Route: [https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/texas/st-edwards-green-and-red-loop?u=i&sh=b883kk](https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/texas/st-edwards-green-and-red-loop?u=i&sh=b883kk) We will mostly follow this route; however we may add on a bit of the Blue Trail, which has some beautiful scenery and leads to a road where we can avoid creek crossing if desired!
Parking: There is a parking lot at the trailhead: [St. Edward's Greenbelt, Parking lot, 7301 Spicewood Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78759 ](https://maps.google.com/maps/place//data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x865b334a2ede3b7b:0xf8522f6013ff171d?entry=s&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiW0NnYi7KXAxUnnGoFHcczA1gQ4kB6BAgXEAA)
Optional post-hike social time: We typically plan an optional social activity (usually involving food!) after the hike. Join us after at [Taqueria Jessica](https://share.google/d4Bi9mv6JCWKWl9j4) close by.
About Her Adventure: We are friends who have enjoyed spending time hiking and backpacking. We noticed that when we are in the backcountry, we don't see a whole lot of other women--probably due to a lot of factors (historical lack of representation, marketing, fear drilled into us by friends/family that the woods aren't safe, bro culture, etc). So we started Her Adventure with the goal of helping folks see themselves as hikers, adventurers, and strong ass humans who can haul their bodies up and over mountains. We're here to help cultivate the journey and sense of community. This group continues to grow and with it comes additional hiking leaders! We now have a group of very qualified and motivated women to lead you along the way!
Hike Leader: My name is Jess and I have been hiking with Her Adventure for about 2 years! I love hiking, the outdoors and connecting with others who share my interests.
