The program ranges from Spanish folk music and zarzuela to tango, jazz, and Latin American rhythms. You will hear subdued pieces such as Nana and the Flower Duet from Lakmé , interspersed with rhythmic works like Amparito Roca and Entre dos aguas . Well-known melodies in original arrangements for clarinet quartet The quartet performs compositions by Chick Corea and Paco de Lucía, among others, in their own arrangements for four clarinets. In this way, familiar melodies sound surprising: intimate, colorful, and full of character. The arrangements were written specifically for the ensemble's instrumentation. Horizon Quartet: four clarinetists from three countries Horizon Quartet was founded at the Amsterdam Conservatory. The four clarinetists, José Manuel Acevedo Real, Samuel Bragança Mendes de Freitas, Vladyslav Petryk, and Oihan Espina Errasti, come from Spain, Portugal, and Ukraine. The ensemble plays repertoire from classical music, folk music, jazz, and film music, and has previously performed at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ and at festivals throughout the Netherlands.
