World Press Photo 2026
About the event
From September 11 to November 22, 2026, the WestLicht Photography Museum will present the most important showcase of international press photography, celebrating a double anniversary: In the year marking WestLicht’s 25th anniversary, the World Press Photo exhibition will also be hosted for the 25th time by this internationally renowned institution. Approximately 150 award-winning works will be on display. They take viewers on a journey through six regions of the world, depicting wars and political conflicts as well as the consequences of the climate crisis, personal stories, cultural traditions, and moments of hope and resistance. The exhibition thus offers not only a glimpse into world events but also into the lives of the people affected by them—and, in some cases, those who have helped shape them.
