Living Root Dragon Boat Practice Session
About the event
Come paddle at one of our practice sessions with Living Root Dragon Boat! Our team is a social and friendly co-ed group that enjoys being on the water, getting a workout, and competing in races all over the country. Are you new to paddling? No problem! We'll show you everything you need to know to paddle on a dragon boat. This is a great way to meet new people, get in shape, and do something fun in the sun (or rain!). We meet at 6pm to warmup by the pavilion at Rivergreen Park (Rivergreen Dr, Everett, MA 02149). We walk over at 6:30pm to the floating docks nearby. We paddle rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Wear comfortable workout clothing and footwear that you don't mind getting wet. Bring a bottle of water, and we'll provide all the paddling equipment you'll need and a place to lock up your belongings. We often head out for a quick bite to eat after practice. So come join us! Here are some pro tips about getting to practice. Where to park? There are plenty of free parking at Rivergreen Park. They have a large free parking lot. There are plenty of places to lockup a bike! Commuting by Public Transit? MBTA From North station, take the orange line to Wellington Station. Walk to Rivergreen Park from the station. It is about a 20 minute walk.
