Free In-Person Course: Cultural Production Today: Project, Programming and Curation

The course examines diverse artistic languages and reflects on recent accelerated transformations in the cultural sector. This program has been delivered in over 20 editions across different formats. When: August 3–13, 2026. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Location: Brás Unit. Objectives: The course presents and discusses contemporary cultural production from multiple perspectives, aiming to build networks and mobilize creative resources. Instructor: Fabio Maleronka. Fabio Maleronka is a UNESCO consultant, holds a doctorate in Sociology of Culture from USP, and teaches Contemporary Cultural Production, Programming and Curation. He served as Programming Director at São Paulo's Municipal Culture Department (2013–2016), curator of Virada Cultural in 2014 and 2015, and led the implementation of São Paulo's Municipal Culture Circuit. He coordinated the series Cultural Production in Brazil (2010) and consulted for the Center for Strategic Studies and Management during Gilberto Gil's tenure.
