Drummers Club Workshop Calendar: \- January 25th: Drum Set Setup \- February 22nd: Basic Drum Rudiments \- March 22nd: Timing with a Metronome \- April 26th: Introduction to Basic Rhythms \- May 24th: Rhythm Pyramid \- June 28th: Drum Chops and Fills \- July 26th: Practice Pad and Warm\-ups \- August 23rd: Playing with Other Musicians \- September 27th: Track Preparation \- October 25th: Pre\-performance Show General Admission Tickets - $10 **January: Drum Set Setup** Learn how to assemble a drum set, tune drums, adjust pedals and cymbal stand, and practice proper sitting posture for optimal comfort and performance. Students will learn the essentials of setting up a drum set, including tuning, pedal adjustments, and posture. Expect hands-on guidance to ensure a comfortable and effective setup. **February: Basic Drum Rudiments** Master essential drum rudiments, stick grips, and techniques for striking toms and cymbals. Explore foundational hand/foot combinations and the basics of using a double kick pedal. Expect to master stick grips, basic rudiments, and proper striking techniques. This month will build a foundation in hand/foot coordination, including an introduction to the double kick pedal. **March: Timing with a Metronome** Develop timing precision by applying rudiments and hand-foot exercises with a metronome, ensuring consistent rhythm and tempo control. Students will practice keeping time with a metronome, applying rudiments and exercises to enhance rhythm precision. Expect to develop your internal sense of timing. **April: Introduction to Basic Rhythms** Explore fundamental beats and rhythms from various music styles. Expect to gain a versatile rhythmic toolkit essential for any musical situation. **May: Rhythm Pyramid** Enhance your sense of timing with the Rhythm Pyramid exercise, a critical tool for improving rhythmic accuracy and stability. Students will delve into the Rhythm Pyramid exercise, a key tool for improving timing. Expect a focus on developing a strong sense of rhythm and timing consistency. **June: Drum Chops and Fills** Learn how to create dynamic drum fills and appropriately incorporate them into different music styles without overplaying or clashing with the overall sound. Learn how to create and place drum fills effectively. Expect to refine your ability to add flair to your drumming while staying musically appropriate. **July: Practice Pad and Warm-ups** Focus on concentration, meditation exercises, and essential hand/foot warmups to maintain technique, even while traveling. Students will focus on practice pad routines, meditation, and warm-up exercises. Expect techniques to maintain hand strength and flexibility, even when off the drum set. **August: Playing with Other Musicians** Understand the dos and don'ts of playing in a group setting. Emphasize the importance of listening and responding to the room's musical environment. Explore the dynamics of playing in a group. Expect lessons on listening, interaction, and making musical choices that complement the ensemble. **September: Track Preparation** Choose a track from any music style to practice and refine your drumming skills, preparing for a polished performance. Students will select and work on a track of their choice. Expect personalized feedback and guidance to prepare for a performance-ready level. **October: Pre-performance Show** Perform your chosen track in a supportive, student-only environment to gain confiden
