Are you ready for AGI?
About the event
The race for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is in overdrive. The world is about to radically change! Are you prepared? While AGI poses an existential risk to human civilisation, Google tells me that 73% of South Africans have no clue what is about to happen to their businesses, jobs or livelihoods. Are you awake?
How big is the risk? People actually working in AI companies believe that there is a 16% chance that Artificial General intelligence (AGI) will lead to human extinction.
Would you board a flight to New York if there was a 16% risk of it crashing into the sea?
What’s more, people actively engaged in AI safety, have been warning that the risks could be even higher, much higher; for example, people like former Google engineer Nate Soares and current president of the “Machine Intelligence Research Institute” and author of the book “If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies!”, and Geoffrey Hinton, one of the ‘godfathers’ of modern AI, are raising serious concerns.
And yet the race is on to achieve Artificial Super-Intelligence (ASI), when AI surpasses human capabilities by a huge margin. Elon Musk called it ‘unleashing the demons’ and then joined the race anyway. It’s potentially quite terrifying.
But it doesn’t have to be. I am writing a report “AGI 2030, The Great Convergence”, and would love to listen to some external perspectives on the propositions I present in the report, before I publish it.
What if I could show you that a world controlled by (1) a coalition of power-hungry people and (2) an intelligent machine that gives the coalition complete control over humanity, was predicted thousands of years ago? It’s called the Beast of the Apocalypse.
What if I could show you that it all ends well, albeit after a few scary years; before the end of 2030 to exact. What difference could that make to your perspectives on the future?
In fact, I see five, significant timelines converging on 2030; the first is the race to AGI and four are timelines from the Bible (without the usual Judaeo-Christian dogma attached). 1. The Race to AGI and technological singularity.. 2. The Beast of the Apocalypse\, prophesied almost 2\,000 years ago 3. The 2000th Anniversary of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 4. Judaism’s date with Destiny; warnings that go back 3\,500 years ago. 5. Christianity’s date with Destiny; prophesied about 2\,500 years ago.
