Gather riverside 15:00am
Finishing up: 18:00pm
RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at Funabori Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the only ticket gate, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3.5 to 4 hours with a break in the middle
WHAT TO BRING
Wear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, and please wear long pants. Bare legs are not recommended because they can easily get cut from objects like cut river reeds. Also, a hat is recommended, especially during the summer months, and please bring lots of liquids to drink. Bringing gloves is also recommended but we usually have some extra pairs available to loan out. Then please come with proper footwear or not sandals and so on.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
If you come late, it will be about a 25 min. walk to our location on the island under the elevated C2 highway between the Kasaibashi Bridge iand the Shinjuku Line train bridge but much closer to the Shinjjuk Line Bridge. Call my cell phone (090-1847-5075) if there are any problems finding us.
RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).
