Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood in 70mm

Quentin Tarantino’s alternate history of the late-’60s film scene focuses on the intertwining lives of three figures: fading TV Western star Rick Dalton (Best Actor nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), his stunt double and best friend Cliff Booth (Supporting Actor winner Brad Pitt) and the real-life starlet Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), whose life is destined to cross paths with Charles Manson and his followers. With its massive, stellar cast (including Margaret Qualley, Timothy Olyphant, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, Damian Lewis, and Al Pacino) and evocative, needle-drop score, Once Upon a Time elegantly evokes a lost era of Hollywood. Nominated for 10 Oscars including Best Picture, it won for production designer Barbara Ling and set decorator Nancy Haigh, who incorporate real-life locations such as the Musso & Frank Grill and the Playboy Mansion while creating believable living spaces for the protagonists.
