Debate Night: Climate change
About the event
Climate change is one of the major threats of our era, with serious consequences for ecosystems, economies, human health and societies. Addressing it requires two complementary approaches: mitigation, by reducing greenhouse-gas emissions as quickly as possible and limiting further warming, and adaptation, by preparing for and managing the changes that can no longer be avoided. Effective climate action therefore combines cutting emissions now with strengthening resilience to the impacts of a changing climate.
