About the event

Join Lawrence, your top hatted host, for a city walk down Spadina.

At 10 am, we will meet-up in Spadina Station, by the three Indigenous totems. They are the K’SAN VILLAGE HOUSE POSTS.

The owl was carved by Fedelia O’Brien, the wolf by Murphy Green, and the hawk by Chuck Heit.

Then we leave the station walking towards Alliance Francis to see Portraits of Women – Beyond the Stones

Eight portraits from Afghanistan to Yemen, Ukraine to Iraq, and a celebration of courage.

At 10:30 am, we will stroll down Spadina passing by

Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, which we toured earlier this year. If you want some unique Canadian art or crafts, then their store is open weekdays.

We will stop at the Paul Martel park, to view an Indigenous mural of Interconnections by Anishinaabe artist Joseph Sagaj.

Crossing busy Bloor Street, we continue south to the Jimi Hendrix Sculpture Garden. Did you know that Jimi Hendrix was arrested for drug possession in Toronto?
