Dutch National Ballet principal dancers are performing in the prestigious SANDT Gala with 8 South African dance companies: CTCB, CBA, Joburg Ballet, WGRUV, Jazzart, WFTC, LAMTA, SAIBC winner. Both Gala performances will be accompanied by the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra A first for the dance sector of South Africa, with 8 dance companies from across the country performing on the Artscape Opera House stage together. It’s an honour to have principal dancers from The Dutch National Ballet as our special guest artists. The program consists of the best from ballet, contemporary dance and musical theatre. This includes pieces by renowned choreographers Rudi van Dantzig, George Balachine, Martha Graham, Ernst Meisner and local choreographers Veronica Paeper and Sean Bovim. The Gala event will recognise and celebrate all South Africans who have achieved international success in the dance sector. Both Gala performances will be accompanied by the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra. Duration: 120min; incl 20 min interval Age Restriction: 5 and older
