The life and work of Jacques Demy prove tightly intertwined in this documentary about the maker of musicals such as Les parapluies de Cherbourg and Les demoiselles de Rochefort. Demy talks, his children opened the family archives. Frédéric Bonnard of Cinémathèque Française wrote the script.
Bonnard and director Florence Platarets ( Godard sur Godard ) opted to let Demy talk about his own films, dreams and life on the basis of meticulous archival footage including from many of the films in the family archive that have never been shared before.
