On Sunday, October 25th we’re going to Governors Island!
Please see full itinerary below:
Meet in Governors Island Ferry Terminal (in Financial District, Manhattan) by 8am. The ferry leaves at 8:30am. It takes 10 minutes to get to Governors Island.
It’ll be choose your own adventure and hours for each venue are listed below. The host will follow the below itinerary
Go to Blazing Saddles to rent a bike for 2 hours or all day (bike shop is open from 9am to 6pm, can rent other recreational vehicles like surreys) cruise bikes are $21 for 2 hours or $28 for all day. From 9am to 10:30am, cruise the park. Go down Slide Hill Playground (NYC’s Longest Slide). Explore the adult playground. See the art installation The Oyster (free guided tour at noon and 4pm). Visit Fort Jay (10am to 4pm). Return bike if 2 hour rental.
From 10:45am to 12:15pm, meet at Soissons Landing Ferry Terminal to go on a free highlights tour of Governors island (it’s free but need to register: [https://www.govisland.com/things-to-do/recreation/guided-walking-tours](https://www.govisland.com/things-to-do/recreation/guided-walking-tours) )
At 12:25pm, meet at Makina Café. We’ll break for lunch (til 12:50pm). Folks can go anywhere lol. There’s lots of food trucks and a restaurant.
From 1pm to 2:30pm, we’ll go to Nolan Park to explore 25 art & culture exhibits and get a free pumpkin (hopefully it’s not a long line lol) Leave Governors Island by 3pm, arrive in Manhattan by 3:15pm

The not so fun rule on RSVPs Please only RSVP if you think you can make it and adjust your RSVP asap if anything changes (as there are other people who would like your spot). Two no shows or cancellations within 6 hours results in a 4 month ban. I will send a reminder 24 hours in advance to the group
