About the event

Time: 9:30-11:30 Where: 📍52°23'14.1"N 4°52'16.5"E ⸻ 1. What is this? A metaphor is a way to understand one thing through another. Balance in an exercise can show inner stability. Pressure from a partner can show how we react to pressure in life. Contact can show how we build relationships. Resistance can show where we tense up, close down, or lose freedom of action. This is a morning practice focused on bringing awareness and presence into what we do. We learn to be in the moment, here and now. We use elements of martial arts and partner interaction as a metaphor for how we show up and interact with the world around us in different situations in life.

2. How does it work? The world is made of densities and empty spaces. In many ways, it is shaped by our inner images and ideas of where there is density, obstacle, pressure, resistance, and where there is emptiness, possibility, and space for action. We constantly come into contact with different “densities”: other people, circumstances, tasks, deadlines, expectations, stress, resistance, and our own inner states. In martial arts, this contact becomes more visible and physical. When contact, pressure, or the unexpected appears, we can see how our body, psyche, and consciousness react to stress. As a result, we may tense up, get angry, close down, freeze, or stop hearing the other person. What is often invisible in everyday life becomes visible through this body-based metaphor. We also often have gaps in our understanding of seemingly simple concepts. Because of this, inner confusion appears: a person thinks one thing, says another, does a third, and then does not understand why things happen differently from what they wanted, and why they do not arrive at the desired result. That is why in this practice we look not only at movement, but also at what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how. What result do I want to get, and do my actions bring me closer to that result?

3. What do we do in the session? We learn how to fall, interact in pairs, take impact, and react to stress. An important part of the practice is observing not only the body and consciousness, but also how we understand words, actions, and meanings.

4. What can this session give? In psychotherapy, there is an important principle: a person begins to change not when they talk a lot about themselves, but when they begin to realize how exactly their actions led to a particular result. In simple words: they have seen their picture of the world and can now change it. As long as the reaction remains automatic, a person repeats the same scenario again and again: in relationships, work, conflicts, goals, and difficulties. They may understand everything intellectually, but still continue acting in the old way. Through movement, contact, pressure, balance, and partner exercises, we can see: • how I react when I am under pressure; • what happens when things do not go according to plan; • whether I hear myself and the other person; • whether I can hold boundaries without aggression; • whether I act consciously or automatically; • whether my actions bring me closer to the result or move me away from it. Change begins at the moment awareness appears. A person begins to see their inner images: the image of themselves, the image of the world, the image of the goal, the image of achieving the goal, and the image of the consequences. They begin to notice how their inner world influences their actions. This practice can help in family relationships, work, planning, overcoming difficulties, and contact with oneself. It develops not only the body, but also the ability to be more attentive to oneself and others, to understand one’s actions more clearly, to not get lost under pressure, to see the next step, to find support, and to continue moving.

5. What does it give? This is a body-based awareness practice where action, contact, and meaning help a person see themselves more clearly. The goal is to become more alive, stable,…
