Friendship in Immigration: We’re Not Really Strangers
Making friends after immigration can feel weirdly difficult. You may meet people, have nice conversations, even want to connect more — but somehow it’s hard to get past the surface.
So this time, instead of another online discussion, let’s meet in person in Montreal and actually get to know each other.
We’ll meet at an anti-café and play We’re Not Really Strangers — a question card game designed to help people move beyond small talk and have more meaningful conversations.
You can expect:
• thoughtful and sometimes funny questions;
• small-group conversation;
• a relaxed, low-pressure atmosphere;
• a chance to meet other immigrants in Montreal as actual people, not just exchange LinkedIn-style introductions 😄
There is no pressure to answer anything that feels too personal. You can always skip a question.
This is not a networking event, therapy group, or speed-friending exercise. The idea is simply to create the kind of environment where real connection has a better chance to happen.
