每天两次过关，是16岁的刘子佩的日常。
她住在深圳，却在香港上学，每天往返于两座城市之间。还没学会游泳的鲨鱼被困在鱼缸里，佩佩也困在两个家庭、两座城市，以及一个尚未真正属于自己的世界。无法完全融入的香港社会，缺乏陪伴的家庭，让她习惯沉默，也习惯把许多心事藏起来。
故事开始于一个再普通不过的愿望。圣诞节，和最好的朋友Jo一起去日本看雪、泡温泉、喝清酒。只是，对于16岁的刘子佩来说，这笔旅费似乎总是遥不可及。
直到一次偶然，她替一名“水客”带货过关，轻易赚到了第一笔钱。于是，她开始一次又一次穿梭于海关之间，也一步步走进一个从未想象过的世界。原本只是为了完成一个小小的心愿，却在不知不觉间，成为了一场属于青春的越界冒险。
《过春天》的“过”，过的是海关，也是边界。越过深圳与香港之间的关口，越过友情与欲望、家庭与成长之间那些看不见的界线。少女的“过春天”，或许就是一条刚刚学会游泳的鲨鱼，决定出发游向大海。
