Scotchman/Dandenong/Gardiner Loop, 54 kms (Intermediate)

SUBJECT TO MELBOURNE'S CAPRICIOUS WINTER WEATHER \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Loop from East Malvern Station to Jells Park and Blackburn via Scotchman Creek, Dandenong Creek and Gardiners Creek Trails. In this direction, we avoid the massive climb from Jells Park and not having lunch at T-House. Meet at East Malvern Station Car Park at 10am. Coffee stop at T-House in Jells Park, late lunch stop at Gourmet Girl or Joy Parade at Laburnum. BYO lunch is an option, there is seating within view of the venues. There is the option for a bit of single track at Shepherd's Bush but requires descending a short set of stairs. For those not wishing to do single track, use the main trail and we will meet at High Street Road. ESSENTIAL ITEMS A sense of adventure Completed Rider Registration Functioning headlight & taillight Spare tube and a puncture kit MYKI card, ATM card/cash, basic tools, rain gear, food/snacks, etc WATER It's your responsibility to check the temperature and distance for the day and carry an appropriate amount of water. When riding outside suburbia remember that carrying too much water is better than not enough as the distances between water availability may vary greatly from the planned route due to road closures or other unforeseen circumstances. Check Meetup for any changes the day before the ride, as the ride may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
