Southern Wild: Formed in Cape Town in 2015, blending alternative rock, post-rock, neo-soul and folk into a sound shaped as much by melody as atmosphere. Over the years they've played festivals including Rocking the Daisies, Up The Creek, Smoking Dragon and Oppikoppi, and have opened for Incubus and The Cure on their South African tours. Work on the band's second album was interrupted by the pandemic, while lead singer Dave spent four years living in Zambia. Back together as a four-piece with Conrad Birch on lead guitar, Southern Wild have now completed their sophomore album, The Art of Feeling Nothing, due for release soon.
