The Matter of Presence: Simulacrum

The performance 'Simulacro' by Carminda Soares and Margarida Montenÿ is an exercise in intimacy, repetition, and resistance, exploring the limits of proximity through the degenerative nature of gesture. Two bodies in continuous action create a diffuse space between the real and the staged, the public and the private, fostering vulnerability, expectation, and tension. The piece will be presented in two distinct modes: initially as a structural 'marking' without full presence, and later 'complete.
