Wyper & Parker was a fun time when they played the Cambie this past June, so here's a chance to see (and dance to) them again. The Wyper half is Josh Wyper, who's also the Cambie's general manager - and is often behind the bar or on the floor Sunday nights. They've played at Gastown's Guilt and Co. regularly in the past. [This video is seven years old and includes an extra guitar player but will give you the gist. ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1USQdX7TD8Y&list=TLPQMDQwNTIwMjY1KMQZGsQ03w&index=2)
From the band's promo blurb: "....close your eyes and feel the energy, heart and soul of a R&B-infused rock band giving you everything they've got. A danceable, driving rhythm section, wailing bluesy guitars, and a singer who sounds like Rod Stewart and Joe Cocker's secret lovechild."
Our reservation is for 6pm - so as to give us time to chat before the music starts. Given that it's the long weekend, I've reserved just one table.
The music goes from 7 to 10 pm, but you might wish to leave earlier. You can see the Cambie's budget-friendly [happy hour menu (till 9pm) here. ](https://www.cambiepubs.com/)No cover.
