Join us for our September book club discussion of *Free* by Lea Ypi, followed by coffee or drinks nearby.

We’re kicking off the second half of this year’s reading list with Free: Coming of Age at the End of History, a memoir by Lea Ypi about her childhood in communist Albania and her coming of age during the country’s turbulent transition to capitalism. Intelligent, captivating, and often very funny, the book moves through family secrets, childhood misunderstandings, and political upheaval while exploring our ideas about freedom.

Please note that, exceptionally, our September meeting will take place on Thursday, October 2, rather than on the last Friday of the month. The location will be announced closer to the date, once we have a better idea of the number of attendees, so please RSVP if you’re planning to join us.

As always, we’ll continue the evening with a casual get-together over coffee or drinks nearby. New readers are always welcome!
