Botanic Gardens Walk and (optional) lunch with Christian Gatherings
About the event
Come and join Christian Gatherings for a pleasant walk Melbourne's famous Royal Botanic Gardens followed by lunch at the Good Nature Hotel at Fed Square.
We'll enjoy a relaxing stroll together as a group for around one to one and a half hours.
I am plotting a circuit for our walk that will take in the Southern African Collection, the Herb Garden, the Australian Forest Walk New Zealand Garden, Australian Drylands Collection, Guilford's Volcano, Arid Garden, Rose Collection, Ornamental Lake and Long Island. If we have extra time, we can also do the Fern Gully.
The program is as follows:
(1) We will meet outside the Visitor Centre at 10am. There, you can grab a coffee and some snacks from the nearby cafe. We'll start our walk at about 10:15am.
(2) Well walk as a group for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 mins. Walk will be at a leisurely pace so people can see and enjoy the plants/trees at a relaxed pace.
(3) After the group walk, there may be a bit of free time for people to explore any other parts of the garden which are not covered in the group walk.
(4) At about 12:00pm, we'll leave the gardens and head toward the Good Nature Hotel. Those who still have the legs can walk up to the hotel (approx 20 to 30 mins). Those tired of walking can catch the tram.
(5) At about 12:30, we'll After that, we'll arrive at the Good Nature Hotel at Federation Square for a 12:45pm booking (reservation is under my name).
Note: Those who are unable to join us for the walk are more than welcome to join us at the hotel for lunch at 12:45pm.
