About the event

Jihan Kikhia reconstructs the life of her father, Libyan opposition leader Mansur Rashid Kikhia, who disappeared in Cairo in 1993 after defecting from Qaddafi’s regime. Through family memories, intimate interviews and archival footage, Jihan explores personal loss alongside Libya’s turbulent political history. What begins as a search for truth becomes a journey towards understanding her father, reclaiming her Libyan identity and revealing how politics shapes even the most intimate family relationships. Screen: NFT3. Screening details: Special screening available; English language subtitles; Intro by director Jihan K..
