Bondi to Coogee gets all the praise, but I'll take Manly Beach to Dee Why Beach & Long Reef Headland any any day of the week! But first...
7,000 members and growing! Nice work team! Sheez to think two years ago only *one hiker* came on this Long Reef Hike (yes, we saw Chris Hemmesworth on a jetski [pic below] - ladies you missed out), and I was ready to shut the group down. And now? We've grown. Oh we've grown. And I believe we're the best hiking group in Sydney! Well, you all are the best... and Sydney's dose of Mother Nature we are so lucky to hike is absolutely the best in the world!
THE HIKE.
930am we meet at Guzman y Gomez on Manly Wharf, and off we go... Manly Beach, Queenscliff Beach, Freshwater Beach, to the Boardwalk, Curl Curl Beach, Curl Curl Rockpool (perhaps my favourite in Sydney), then into Dee Why Headland where it's proper hiking with unforgettable views... Dee Why Beach and its rockpools are heavenly. This hike is 10/10 beautiful. We'll beach walk from there onto Long Reef Headland... one of the prettiest views in Sydney. Let's spot some whales!
