Meet 10.45 for tea in Coffee Caravan Bloomberg Arcade or just outside at 11.15 for the start of the walk.
The Stuart kings and queens lived through a time of great progress and growth but then grim economic and political times too. The wars of queen Anne's reign and then William and Mary left the country in dire straits. The Restoration brought much joy after the Puritans had cancelled Christmas, but in time Charles' CABAL of ministers turned the experience sour. The Plague and the Fire sapped morale, but the city was back on its feet in no time. Hear stories of all this, of coffee houses and road widening and why Hackney cabs are called this (no it's nothing to do with Hackney).
The cost of the walk is £12 per head, you can pay this on the day in cash or to my account 75471878 sort 010928.
If you see unpaid by your name, just ignore it. That's Meetup!
