2026 Toronto Dragon Festival

Nathan Phillips Square

About the event

Toronto, get ready for an unforgettable spectacle! The seventh annual Toronto Dragon Festival (TDF) returns to Nathan Phillips Square from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6 , transforming downtown Toronto into a bold celebration of living heritage, multicultural energy, and future innovation. This year, TDF proudly welcomes one of China’s most powerful living intangible cultural heritage performances for the first time: the explosive Chaoshan Yingge Dance — a visually stunning folk tradition known for its thunderous rhythm, warrior spirit, and electrifying celebration. Blending ancient storytelling, powerful choreography, and festive symbolism, along with our signature lion dance, these extraordinary cultural showcases promise to captivate audiences with an unforgettable display of Chinese tradition at its most dynamic. Joining this year’s cultural spectacle are TDF’s signature crowd favourites: · Breathtaking high-pole lion dances and dragon dances with gravity-defying acrobatics · A vibrant multicultural performance lineup celebrating Indigenous, South Asian, Caribbean, European, and global communities · The magical Luminati Night Light Show and immersive Reflection Wate
