Tonchin is a Japanese ramen chain that opened in NYC 2017, founded in Tokyo in 1992. Currently, Tonchin has around 16 locations in Japan-- brought to the US by Chef Masaru Tada. The sleek interior boasts simple geometric patterns in its design, speaking to "endless combinations, much like a bowl of ramen." The noodles are homemade and there are a few notable dishes to look out for. Beyond the classic tonkotsu, Tonchin offers a smoked dashi ramen and a miso ginger ramen. For starters, there are a number of creative shishito pepper dishes, and their signature wings, including spicy wings and curry cheese wings if you are feeling especially festive!
