Humans of Film Festival
About the event
Humans of Film Festival is a socio-cultural film festival focusing on a broad and diverse audience. In 2026, there will be another edition of Humans of Film Festival with a versatile film program full of socially engaged cinema that rarely makes it to the big screen. At film house LAB111, urgent stories, different generations, and communities come together for a weekend of depth and connection. Please note: The dates and times mentioned for 2026 are subject to change. A platform for underrepresented voices
Humans of Film Festival distinguishes itself through a strong focus on films that connect personal stories with societal themes. The festival provides a platform for filmmakers of color, LGBTQIA2S+ perspectives, people with disabilities, and stories from diverse communities that often remain underrepresented in the mainstream film landscape. In doing so, the festival brings a wide range of voices and experiences to the big screen.
More than films: encounter and dialogue
In addition to a broad film program, the Humans of Film Festival also organizes workshops, panel discussions, and creative sessions, in which visitors are invited to actively contribute ideas and share stories. In doing so, the festival creates not only a platform for unique films but also a safe space for exchange and connection between generations, cultures, and social backgrounds. Through this, it contributes to promoting inclusion, solidarity, and understanding in society.
