After her release, 24-year-old Toni tries to pick up her life again with her young daughter Anna, but her criminal past won't let her go. Watch this film at De Balie Amsterdam and discover if she can break free from her ex Max and his criminal world. A second chance after prison
Toni is 24 years old and walks out of prison with one wish: to build a normal life with her daughter Anna. During her absence, Anna grew up with her mother Betty. The reunion is fragile, but Toni persists. She finds work in her uncle Frank's restaurant and tries, step by step, to find her place again.
The past pulls at her
Toni's ex Max, Anna's father, is still active in the criminal world. His presence makes it difficult for her to let go of the thread. The film Cap Farewell shows how thin the line is between a new beginning and falling back into old patterns. Director Sidney Wolfe draws an honest portrait of someone fighting for her freedom.
