Morning Sketching in Yoyogi Park 🎨

Do you snap a photo of something beautiful and then never look at it again?

And wouldn't it be nice to spend one Sunday morning away from your phone?

At this meetup, we put our phones away and draw in Yoyogi Park for 90 minutes.

Beginners are very welcome!! What matters isn't skill. It's taking the time to look closely at nature, and making something with your own hands.

A rough pencil sketch is completely fine. You can also make a collage with fallen leaves, or use colored pencils or watercolor.

Details

• Date: Sun, Sept 27, 10:00–11:30 • Meeting point: Yoyogi Park, in front of Harajuku Gate, 10:00 • Fee: ¥3,000 • Language: Japanese / English • If it rains: We'll let you know by the night before • What to bring: Sketchbook, pencil, eraser, (optional: colored pencils, watercolor set, glue,folding chair) ※picnic sheets are provided.

Schedule

• 10:00　Meet at Yoyogi Park, in front of Harajuku Gate　（check the picture below) • 10:00–10:30　Walk around the park and collect fallen leaves or plants you like • 10:30–11:30　Sit down and start drawing • 11:30　Finish. Optional coffee nearby for anyone who wants to join

Please note This is a casual gathering of participants, not a class or a guided tour. No instruction is provided. Please take care of your own health, belongings, and valuables on the day.

ーーーー 朝の代々木公園でスケッチ 🎨

きれいな景色を、写真でぱしゃっと撮って終わりにしていませんか。 このイベントでは、朝の代々木公園で90分間、絵を描きます。

絵が未経験・うまく描けない方も、大歓迎です！！

大事なのは絵の上手さではなく、自然をじっくり観察する過程と、自分の手で何かを作ってみること。

基本は鉛筆でのスケッチでOK。落ち葉を拾って貼るコラージュでも、色鉛筆でも、水彩でも自由です。

当日の流れ

• 10:00　代々木公園・原宿門前に集合（添付写真をチェック！） • 10:00〜10:30　公園を散策。気になった落ち葉や植物を集めます • 10:30〜11:30　座って、スケッチブックに描きます • 11:30　解散。希望者は近くのカフェへ（自由参加）
