Chris Potter is one of the most influential voices in contemporary jazz. With his inexhaustible inventiveness, exceptional technical mastery, and warm tone, he has been a role model for an entire generation of saxophonists for years. In a trio setting, his virtuoso playing comes to the fore even more. Potter is joined by bassist Matt Brewer, known for his work with Lee Konitz and Aaron Parks, and drummer Kendrick Scott, a member of the Blue Note All-Stars. He made a name for himself in the bands of Dave Holland and Dave Douglas, played as a sideman on over a hundred recordings, and shared the stage with Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, and Steely Dan, among others. As a bandleader, he has released fifteen albums to date.
