Pull up a seat at Tokyo Gaming Discussion Club, Meetup Tokyo's (and all of Japan's…for at least right now) only drop-in forever physically in-person meeting gaming monthly discussion club!
And this August we got a special one folks with a TGDC return to Shibooooooooooyah then back to our usual meeting grounds of Komaba in the months ahead.
So get ready for Tokyo Gaming Discussion Club Session 14, hereafter known as TGDC14, for another round of freewheeling gaming conversation at a special time of 2:30pm vs our traditional time of 3:30pm.
How TGDC works is you can have the chance to drop in and share what you’re playing, any thoughts about gaming, and even if you don’t really play games but are swooned by the ethereal nature of them in the zeitgeist, you’re welcome to contribute all the same too.
Basically TGDC is your favorite gaming podcast, except instead of listening, you yourselves get to be the hosts of it for two hours. And no unskippable ads for premade cooking kits!
The club has only two rules:
Any level or background interest in gaming is more than enough to be a club member. Well, I guess that’s not really a rule is it?
1. Ok\, now we’re in real rule territory. When attending, please be respectful of everyone else in the room. More specifically mannerisms such as letting everyone be able to talk and merge onto the freeflowing conversation autobahn, that can sometimes hit Formula One speeds.
Like for example if you find yourself breathlessly talking about Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced for 12 minutes; that’s cool but seven other potential attendees also want to get their game in too.
2. Please arrive at the lobby of Creative Mov Shibuya by no later than 2:30pm and a big gold star for people who arrive 15 minutes early. The reason I ask is it’s hard for me to search for attendees while hosting the room simultaneously; so it’s a big help to get the club started on time and off to the races.
Creative Mov Shibuya is tricky to access being tucked into the way back of the 8th floor of the Shibuya Hikarie department store building so please allow yourself extra time to help navigate to it.
