We head west to Bean Around the World (57th & Cypress) for coffee, then south into Richmond and the Sanctuary Cafe and/or London Wharf Park for lunch.
Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly. The first 60 km are mostly downhill or flat. There is about 110 m of elevation gain over the last 6 km. Distance: 67.3 Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hrs. Bring: snacks//water and Pack a Lunch or buy something at The Sanctuary Cafe (lunch stop). The Diplomat Bakery is also nearby. Please be responsible for yourself and follow all cycling rules and the leader’s directions. Please be sure your bike is in good condition, tires are inflated and brakes are in good working order before arriving at the starting point. Carrying a Repair Kit and an extra inner tube is recommended. To help you to be seen and heard on the road, the following equipment is also recommended: a bell, flashing front and back lights or reflectors and a mirror. Our goal is for you to enjoy your ride and arrive at the end safe, happy, and satisfied with your leader as well as your outing.
