This improv meetup is perfect for the beginner - all the way up to the most advanced improv warriors - no experience is required. Through a super playful process, we'll help you discover your inner improv roots (aka superhero powers...) and what you discover may (and most certainly will) surprise you! At these meetups you will: • Play a variety of easy-to-learn, engaging, and outrageously fun improv games. • Find comfort and true freedom in expressing your weird side. • Learn the foundational basics of improv and perform successful scenes (even if it's your first time). • Connect and make new friends within the Austin community! What kind of games do we play? We play short-form improv games designed to inspire collaboration and creative, out-of-the-box thinking and also dabble in a bit of improv scene work. If you've never done improv before, feel free to come see what we're all about! *You must RSVP to participate in this class* --- BFBL Improv is provided for free! Our mission is to provide services that foster creativity and artistic expression in the Austin community. Donations keep the art of improv accessible for all, regardless of socio-economic status, through our BFBL program. Facilitators are happy to provide guided Improv classes for youth groups, schools, corporate training, private parties, etc. Please message us for more information. Our goal is that every member feels comfortable and able to become further integrated into the BFBL community. NOTICE OF ASSUMED RISK: Meetup, Inc. and organizers of Improv Connection do NOT maintain health, auto, home, life, accident, or other insurance policies applicable to members of this meetup. This is a notice to you that risks associated with your participation in improv connection events, and participation of your guests in events, are solely your responsibility. Attendance at a meetup is your acknowledgement that you understand that you assume all risk, and that you release organizers and members of CSE from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or death. Improv connection organizers urges members to obtain insurance BEFORE participating in any Improv or meetup events if you feel it necessary to have insurance applicable to such participation. PHOTO RELEASE: By attending BFBL Improv, you acknowledge that photographs might be taken at the event which will include your image. These photographs and/or videos may be used in publications, news releases, social media, online, and in other communications related to the mission of this meetup group. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, please notify the event host at the beginning of the event (or as soon as possible).
