Is this your event?About the event
Interval, created by choreographer Joop Oonk, takes you on a sensory journey through time. As the third part of her trilogy on primary dynamics, following Tides and Falling, this performance explores time not as a straight line, but as a living, breathing landscape of repetition, shifting and change. This dance performance can be seen at Meervaart. What happens in the space between beginning and end?
You enter a dark space. Slowly, your eyes, your ears, your body adjust. From the darkness, a universe unfolds in which movement, sound, and scenography merge. Dancers move through an environment that reacts, in which objects come to life upon touch and every action adds a new layer to what you see and feel. Interval is about the ‘in-between time’: the period in which we live, move, adapt, and let go.
It is a physical experience of transience and growth, of the continuous rewriting of ourselves in relation to the world around us. This performance invites you to look differently, to feel differently. Not to understand time, but to undergo it. Step in. Slow down. Experience the space in between.
Prikkelzones Misiconi believes that a performance only truly comes to life when a visitor can experience it in their own way. While one person likes to be completely immersed in light, sound, and interaction, another prefers a bit of distance and overview. With that idea, Misiconi developed the Prikkelzones: a new form of audience reception where you as a visitor decide for yourself how many stimuli you want to experience.
