About the event
This companion event is for those attending the "Deep in the Heart: A Texas Wildlife Story" IMAX documentary at the Bullock Museum on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
This is not an official Sierra Club event; it is an optional social gathering following the documentary.
After the documentary concludes at 1:45 PM, those who wish may join us for a short 10-minute walk along the Capitol Mall to the [Texas Chili Parlor](https://www.texaschiliparlor.com/menu) for a cold beverage, appetizer or early dinner and conversation.
Food and beverages will be available for individual purchase.
If you plan to join us, please RSVP for this companion event. Even if you have already RSVP'd for the IMAX documentary, a separate RSVP is required for the Texas Chili Parlor gathering.
Itinerary

After the documentary, we will gather in the Bullock Museum Main Rotunda Lobby. We will enjoy a 10-minute walk along the Capitol Mall to the Texas Chili Parlor.
What to Bring:
Since we will be walking outdoors in the heat, consider bringing: • A hat for sun protection • A water bottle • Comfortable walking shoes
