When Vibes meet Reality & Harness Engineering for Existing PHP Codebases
About the event
Hello fellow Symfonians,
we are thrilled to announce our next user group meeting with two talks that both circle around the same question: what happens after the AI has written the code? This time we are hosted by c-base (Rungestrasse 20, 10179 Berlin). Come by and enjoy an evening of learning, networking, and socializing with fellow Symfony and PHP developers.

Talk 1: "When Vibes meet Reality" by Stiven Llupa In this talk Stiven shares his experience with what can only be described as a LinkedIn story happening in real life. This year he was asked to help with the performance of a 100% vibe-coded project. How does one handle a project that has no source code, only YAML files? Oh, and the source code is somewhere alright — just reachable over HTTP. And there is no version control.

Talk 2: "Harness Engineering for Existing PHP Codebases" by Anne-Julia Seitz Coding agents are changing the role of tests, static analysis, and CI. Together, these tools become part of the harness that guides an agent and evaluates its work. This talk explores harness engineering for existing PHP codebases: how executable feedback supports software quality, what our tools can reliably verify, and where human judgement remains essential.
