Rope climbing session at Rocklands near Kasai station
About the event
This session is mainly for climbers who have some experience and can belay others. Beginners and people with no belay experience are welcome as well, but let us know in the comments so we can plan accordingly 🙇
You can enjoy fun and chill climbing, or you can try projecting at your limit! Organizers will make sure that you will get to know other climbers and enjoy climbing in a friendly and supportive environment. Free except for gym fees (Registration fee plus half-day pass after 6 pm is 3300 ten). Starts at 7:00 pm and usually ends around 9:00 pm, but you can come anytime and leave anytime. The store closes at 11 PM (9 PM for Weekends and holidays), so some of us climb until then. When you arrive, please tell the gym staff that you are here for the Meetup event and ask them to take you to the group after registration. If you are coming to Rocklands for the first time, you will get free rentals, so please ask the receptionist to provide you with appropriate shoes and harnesses.
Important: Join our Discord】 Please join our Discord for real-time updates, meeting points at the gym, and sharing climbing photos and movies: [https://discord.gg/XVHNSRU7tQ](https://discord.gg/XVHNSRU7tQ)
Registration is a must! Please register, as we want to have a good experienced-to-beginner climber ratio for safety. If you are on the waitlist, unfortunately, that means you can't attend the event, so plz register early.
Backstory of the event: Rocklands is owned by a group of climbers (my friends) who bought it from a previous owner as it was going out of business a few years ago. It’s a rare climber-community-owned gym, and I (regular climber at the gym) want to help the gym by making it accessible to International climbers and hopefully creating a supportive gym community! Disclaimer: Climbing is an inherently dangerous sport, so please be careful when you are climbing! If you have any safety concerns during the event, please let us know so that we can help resolve the issue.
