Is this your event?About the event
Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) presents a concert where you can experience the energy, passion and talent of young musicians on the edge of their careers. Celebrating ANAM's 30th Anniversary, Artistic Director Paavali Jumppanen brings together three composers united by their fascination with Finnish and Hungarian folk music. Join us as we move from Rautavaara's The Fiddlers, drawn from Finnish village dance tunes to Enescu's Impressions d'enfance (Childhood Impressions). With Bartók's Piano Quintet, capturing the composer discovering the folk idioms that defined his later style, this concert brings you contemporary echoes of a musical past. A distinctive joy-filled program brought to life by the infectious energy of ANAM's musicians — the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
