The Descendants

Matt King (George Clooney) is on paper a "real" family man, but he hasn't spoken to his wife in months, and he barely knows his two daughters. So when his wife ends up in a coma after a boating accident, Matt is forced to look behind the facade of his daughters in order to say a proper goodbye to his wife – and perhaps even start anew. An offbeat, bittersweet and subtly humorous story. The exotic Hawaii location is an interesting and different area to unfold the full-blown family crisis in, and Payne incorporates the Pacific Islands, so to speak, with skin and hair.
