One Paragraph Club discussion - bring one passage, not a whole book.
Short summary
Some books do not “change your life” in the dramatic way people say online.
Sometimes they just get you through one stretch.
A breakup.
A failure.
A lonely season.
A confusing year.
A moment when you were trying to stay human and needed one sentence to hold onto.
This One Paragraph Club is built around that.
Bring one paragraph from any book that genuinely helped you through a difficult, confusing, or important part of your life.
Not the whole book.
Not a polished speech about your personal transformation.
Just one passage that did something for you.
Maybe it gave you language.
Maybe it made you feel less alone.
Maybe it annoyed you into honesty.
Maybe it said the thing you were not ready to say yet.
That is enough.
A few questions already sitting in my head
• “What did this paragraph help you survive, understand, or face?”
• “Why this passage and not another one?”
• “Did it comfort you, challenge you, embarrass you, or steady you?”
• “What did the writer notice that you needed someone to notice?”
• “Does the paragraph still help now, or did it belong to an older version of you?”
• “What kind of sentence becomes useful when life gets hard?”
How the morning will go
Each person can read their paragraph, say a little about why they brought it, and then we’ll talk about it together.
Keep it short enough that the room can actually hear it.
No need to explain the whole book.
No need to perform vulnerability.
No need to make your life sound more dramatic than it was.
One paragraph is enough.
If the passage is strong, the room will find the conversation.
What to bring
Bring one paragraph from any book that helped you through a difficult, confusing, or important stretch of life.
Bring it printed, on your phone, in the book itself, or written in a notebook.
No full book required for everyone else. Just the paragraph.

Weekend RSVP policy
Our weekend events regularly have waitlists of 20 or more people. If you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP by Thursday evening. This gives someone on the waitlist enough time to make plans and take the available spot.
Members who remain marked as attending and miss two events without cancelling may be removed from the group. Emergencies happen; if something unavoidable comes up, please message the organizer.
Keeping your RSVP accurate helps limited seats go to people who can actually attend.
