Is this your event?About the event
With Broze Aarde, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble presents a musical tribute to our fragile planet, based on the poetry collection Broze aarde by the South African writer Antjie Krog. Mezzo-soprano Christianne Stotijn, together with the chamber choir Studium Chorale, sings about humanity's relationship with the earth. Can be seen and heard at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. A mass for the universe
The Dutch composer Fant de Kanter is writing brand-new music especially for this concert that challenges every musician of the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble with custom-written parts, unique combinations of instruments and diverse musical styles that seamlessly merge into one another. The result is an exciting artistic adventure: a spiritual and urgent performance about humanity and the climate, which encourages reflection, but also offers comfort, strength and hope.
