Out for Lunch: A Historic Afternoon at Fraunces TavernStep back into history with Gay Men Out for Lunch as we head to Lower Manhattan for an afternoon of great food, historic charm, and timeless camaraderie at Fraunces Tavern.As Manhattan’s oldest surviving building, Fraunces Tavern has been a cornerstone of New York City life since 1762. Once a revolutionary hub where the Sons of Liberty plotted, it is famously the very site where George Washington gave his emotional farewell address to his officers at the end of the Revolutionary War.Join us as we explore this iconic landmark, enjoy an upscale lunch in their beautifully preserved colonial dining rooms, and soak in centuries of New York heritage.
