Let's visit one of my favorite DC Italian restaurants. TOSCA has long been recognized as one of Washington's strongest examples of refined Northern Italian cuisine, combining polished service, house-made pastas, seasonal ingredients, and a more formal dining experience The restaurant is led by Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra, whose culinary career includes earning Michelin recognition in Sicily before age 30 and more than two decades as Executive Chef at Lidia Bastianich's acclaimed Felidia in New York. During his time at Felidia, the restaurant earned multiple three-star New York Times reviews and national recognition as one of America's leading Italian restaurants. Chef Nicotra later joined the Fabio Trabocchi Restaurant Group before bringing his experience to TOSCA in 2022 What makes TOSCA especially notable during Restaurant Week is that they consistently approach the event as a showcase of the restaurant rather than a reduced experience. → This event requires all attendees to participate using the Restaurant Week menu FOOD: TOSCA specializes in Northern Italian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh, house-made pastas, seasonal ingredients, and carefully prepared seafood and proteins. Recent diners continue to praise the restaurant's pasta program, including dishes such as lobster ravioli and other rotating seasonal preparations, along with well-executed classics such as risotto, branzino, and thoughtfully prepared meat dishes TOSCA has historically been one of the best Restaurant Week values in DC because they provide guests access to much of what defines the restaurant. A unique feature many returning guests appreciate is the ability, subject to confirmation with your server, to request a half portion of one of Tosca's signature pastas in place of the standard first course. This allows guests to experience one of the restaurant's specialties while still enjoying the complete Restaurant Week menu Vegetarian guests are typically accommodated through seasonal preparations, and gluten-free pasta is available upon request → View the 2026 Summer Restaurant Week menu:[ https://www.ramw.org/sites/default/files/restaurant-week/menus/RW%20Dinner%20Menu%202026%20for%20RAMW.pd](https://www.ramw.org/sites/default/files/restaurant-week/menus/RW%20Dinner%20Menu%202026%20for%20RAMW.pdf) → Visit the restaurant site: https://www.toscadc.com/ +++++++++ => Summer Restaurant Week dinner: $65 per person before tax and…
